What are Resources? Resources are documents such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PDF's that mobile users can access via the Resources section on the mpro5 web app. Web users can also access them via the Resources tile on the website.
Resources Explained
There are several different resource types that you can import into the system via the website. It’s very important where you add the resource as to where you want to see it on the app. For example, if you add a resource to a job, then you will only see it via that job as a related document on the mobile app.
Here’s a breakdown of the different areas where you can create resources against and where you will find them:
Resource Type |
Data Type |
Global |
When adding a document as a Global Resource, it will be available on the main Resources area of the mobile app for everyone to see and access. |
Job Type |
When adding a document as a Job Type Resource, it is added to a Job Type. So, if a Job Type has a Form against it, it will also have this document as a related document on the mobile app. In the case, you would add it to a Job Type and then all the jobs that share the Job Type would get the Resource |
Form |
When adding a document as a Form Resource, it is added as a related document to a form. So, whoever has access to the form will also have access to the document. |
Customer |
When adding a document as a Customer Resource, it will be available for the web users in the Resources area of the website that have access to the customer it has been added to. |
Site |
When adding a document as a Site Resource, it will be available for the web users in the Resources area on the Site itself on the website. |
Job |
When adding a document as a Job Resource, the mobile user who has the job assigned to them will see it as a related document on the mobile app. This would usually be a manual tasks on individual jobs so different to the Job Type Resource as lots of jobs could share the Job Type. |
