Assets are generally considered to be items that are kept at Sites at specific Locations and usually stay in one spot.
Using our Samsung Assets as examples, assuming that we were working in the Property 1 customer on the Main Floor's Kitchen, an asset would be a piece of equipment at this location. For example, cooker unit, Microwave, or Fridge perhaps.
Assets generally consist of a manufacturer, model, description, and barcode at the basic level. This is normally enough information to identify the asset itself.
A further example could be that the cooker (Asset) might have a Beko as the Manufacturer instead and a print cartridge, paper and print tray as parts.
Part categories are groups the parts are placed in.
Assets can be attached to jobs so that users of Mpro5 can see the assets that they need to be using for jobs.
